Description

5 1/2" cup saucer , cream color with brown rim and leaf pattern in dark brown on edges . bottom of inside saucer has a winter scene with river, bridge trees and house/barn structures in red. The snow scene has blue highlights and the water has some yellow highlights.  two chips on back side of plate rim old, brown tone.  Stamp on bottom is a mailbox with mail flag up and a post with two supports. Above the box it says "The Ice House" On the side of the box it says The friendly Village.  Down by post it says Made in England by Johnson Bros. RE G.U.S. Pat. Off.

Johnson Bros. made pieces like this for the American market post World War Two, the saucer on its own really does not have much value, such pieces often are sold as part of $10.00 boxlots at auction.
