Box with brass hardware (for pool cue?)

Description

Wooden box  used to hold pool cue I think. Inside was originally a green felt; stripped and box refinished. Wood type unknown. Center of lid used to hold a metal piece, probably with initials of the owner of the box. the four corners are encased in brass. The lock piece is brass but there is no key. There are brass hooks to secure the box closure.

It seems like an old wooden box, which it reminds me those days of 1990's when I used to have my own office build up by using the used office furniture of oak material with some dawers and chairs, and about brass I'm not sure about it, but yes those pics reminds me my olden days!!
