24" Heavy Burnished Glass Urn with Bronze Lid and Base

Description

I found a pair of very 24" tall what I'm calling urns and would like some info on them. They are very striking. The lid and base appear to be bronze, the middle is glass with some what looks like brown colored highlights, I call it burnished but I'm not sure that's the correct term. There is also a metal rod that runs from the lid to the base and bolts at the base. I cannot see any writing on them, if it's there I'm not looking in the right place. They are very heavy,
