I do not know what the picture is and google image search was no help.

I believe you have a medal of St. Christopher with a staff in his right hand carrying a child (who he would learn was the Christ child) on his left shoulder as they cross a dangerous river. I would imagine the image was originally more defined but it has been worn down through use. Many Catholics and other Christians wear the St. Christopher medal to keep them safe in their travels and will hold onto the medal while offering a prayer. The name Christopher actually means "christ bearer*.

 

I looked for information on the initials GFCT but  could only find the Grant Fulford Charitable Trust - a trust which serves to help those in need in England and Wales. It seems unlikely (though not impossible) they would have produced this medal.
