West African Kuduo or PreColumbian artifact?

Description

I inherited this container from my father.  He thought it was a Pre-Columbian burial artifact that was given to him when he was working in Panama in Central America.  A few years ago, an appraisor told us it was an African Kuduo from West Africa.  He said it was made by the "lost wax" method and that it is genuine. It is 7" tall.    I know there are 3 legged PreColumbian containers but not made of metal.  This article is made of a bronzy metal.  It is quite heavy.
