German Hutch/Cabinet with glass doors

Appraisal complete
Description

This was purchased in Germany at a second hand store in the 90s. Not sure if it is American or European. It measures apprx 42x42 but the top part adds another 8/9 inches. It has frosted tan/light brown glass in the doors, some of which are broken. There are no markings or stamps anywhere that I can find and the only hardware are the drawer and door pulls. The piece seems crudely assembled with imperfect joints and wooded bits holding the glass into place.

Anyone have any idea what the history/story of this piece could be and an approx estimate for sale...
