Staffordshire Spaniel

Appraisal complete
Description

I am after any assistance I can get with the following:

Single Staffordshire Spaniel appears to have a join line down each side as thought it has been molded in two pieces.

It has a small vent hole in the lower middle back section.

The base appears to be silightly concaved with the marking 10 or 01. The marking appears to be in ink.

I don't know much about the item other than it came to Australia with my great grandparents in the late 1880's.

Can anyone offer the details of a good appraisal site where they may have some knowledge of this item.

These were made in huge numbers throughout the Victorian era, of which many have survived to this day, most have no markings to indicate a maker. With the odd exception of one in an unusual pose or with a provenance to a famous person or event, values for them have declined drastically since the 1990's, currently at auction a great many like yours sell for $100.00 or less.
