Wooden african statues

Description

Both items are solid wooden sculptures...the "bust" that I call "the maiden" is about 13 1/2 inches tall  4 1/2 wide and  5 1/2 inches deep the finish is smooth and it weighs about 4 pounds.     The other that I call "going crazy" is almost 14 inches tall .6 inches wide(at elbows) and about  6 inches deep( overall) with tribal looking etchings on wrists upper arms, chest, sides and base otherwise a smooth finish and weighs about 3-4 pounds.  I inherited these items several years ago and am only assuming they are "african".  They belonged to a family member and I have no idea how long they had them nor where they came from..I am very interested in learning more about them.
