Description

I'm looking for information on this doll.  It stands approx. 13" tall, body made of black silk, the head appears to be made of fine linen.  Embroidered face and chest, small thin rings for buttons that remind me of sequins.  The sash looks hand woven; hands and feet are tied with the same material as the sash.  Along with this doll came a very faded note which was pinned to it.  Hopefully it will give the familiar viewer more to go on.  I don't know enough about this doll (or figure) to even begin an intelligent search.  Hoping someone can point me in the right direction as to it's age and origin.  Thanks!
