I don't know much about this piece. I bought it for a dollar at a garage sale about 6 years ago. It currently does not work.

If it was gold it would have markings to indicate the gold content. Birks is a high end jeweler in Canada, if this piece was in working order you'd easily get over $100.00 for it.
