Re: Pair of statues I think ivory
It's very hard to tell synthetic ivory from the genuine article withour very detailed images. There is a test you can do, simply heat a needle red hot and stick it in the bottom/underside of the piece, it the surface melts and smells like plastic it's an ivory resin and not true ivory.
