South American rug

Appraisal complete
Description

This is a wool rug, fringed. Seven foot long, including fringe, by 56 inches.  It's been in my family for a very long time, but I really don't have any accurate information as to how it was aquired.  The only flaw I see is some minor discoloration below the figure in the center of the rug.

History This rug came from my mother's side of the family. They were all Cherokee Indians from Oklahoma. My mother died in 2013 at the age of 76. I realize this rug is most likely South American. I believe one of my mother's uncles brought it home while traveling in the Merchant Marines.
