Antique Wash Basin Set

Appraisal complete
Description

Antique wash basin, powder, soap, and small pitcher set. This has been passed down to me from my mom, and it was passed down from her great aunt to her. The always said it was very old and valuable. I am just trying to find out if that's true and possibly how old and how much it would be worth.

Demand for wash basin sets like this peaked in the late 1980's and have declined greatly since then, a result of changing decorating trends and an influx of reproductions flooding the market. Sets like this are generally late Victorian dating from the last quarter of the 19th century, today at auction a set like yours would go for less than $300.00 at auction.
