I found this bowl at my Moms house. She has had it so long she does not remember how she came to have it. Any info would be gratly appreciated.

Using Google translate, the German words in your fourth image translate to "Officer helmet". The second word was harder to translate due to the letter after B being somewhat obscured. Did a quick search for the word Elsenborn and it mentioned the battle of the bulge. I wonder if that means it was an officer's, one who fought at Elsenborn. I would imagine that the item was made in Duisdorf Germany and the crest is the maker's symbol. I can't read the word within that crest enough to try translating it.
