Pair of Ducks in Nature Scene

Oil painting by William Henry Machen – 1832-1911

Well-regarded, listed painter, William Machen did portraits, landscapes, historical scenes and wildlife scenes in the U.S., with a focus on Ohio and Michigan.  

17.75” W x 14” H

Frame is 1.5” deep. When hung, canvas and frame extend 2.5” from wall.

Painting shows pair of Green Winged Teal ducks at water’s edge, with vegetation and blue sky & clouds in background.

Signs of aging of the painted surface at all edges. Some paint missing along left edge.
