I know VERY little about this doll.
It was my grandmothers and she would never really tell us the price, even though she was pretty certain on it. It's been in our family for as long as I can remember. I also cannot ready the markings on the back of the neck exept for (( ____ Doll , Made in USA , _______ ))
It's a fairly heavy doll with a cloth body and porcelain???? Head, Arms, and Legs.
I cannot find information on this doll with the markings I can make out.

Re: Antique Doll
Your doll was made by the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company. The material used to make the head, arms and legs is called composition. It dates to the 1930's and looks very much like a doll called Baby Beautiful. although a slightly larger version. From what I can see in your photos it is in very good condition. If there are no large cracks or broken toes or fingers, my 20 years of experience would price him to be around $200.00. Keep him in a controled environment with even temperatures to prevent further deterioration. Water is not his friend. Hope this helps with the family heirloom.
