Description

Persian miniature, label shows AKA MIREH, School of Herat, XVI century.

Text is a poem by Findoni.

Picture is from the Shah Nameh, the Book of Kings.

Bought by my parents in Istanbul in the 1950's, in family ever since. Passed to me on their death. Hangs in my house now.

I am interested in the value of this piece.

Distinguishing marks There is a label on the back, presumably put there by the dealer where purchased.

Condition Excellent

Size and dimensions of this item About a foot high and maybe 9 inches wide

Date Period Sixteenth century according to the label on reverse.

History Bought by my parents in Istanbul, I believe, in 1950s. Passed to me in 1999, has been in my house since.
