These are pretty cool, they're called fire grenades. They tend to date from the 1920's-30's, and are meant to hang in areas that might be prone to fire, and would explode if a fire heated them up enough, causing the liquid (which is by the way highly toxic) to spray out hopefully extinguishing the fire, they could also be throw onto a fire like a grenade, hence the name. While it's fairly unusual to find them with the boxes they're still fairly common and not generally worth much. My recommendation would be to get rid of the glass bulbs, any value is in the holders. Use them in a campfire for kicks or dispose of them at a hazardous waste collection site!!
