Antique Vintage Wood & Metal Teacher Office Swivel Desk Chair with Wheels

We just purchased this yesterday at a thrift store. We purchased it with a metal desk (I will also post that soon!). They said it was a set, but it definitely is NOT a set! 

This chair is metal and wood. It is on casters and swivels. The lady at the Thrift Store said the value was $550 but she has no idea how that value was calculated . . . it was just written on her paper apparently. She also said it was from the 1920s (we are fairly certain she said 1921, but I'm not sure if we heard that part right), although through my research since yesterday I do not know if this info is correct! She also said it is a teacher's desk chair. I got this in Ohio, if that affects which part of the country it could have potentially originated from.

I can't find any writing about the brand or maker on the chair. There is some sticker residue on the back metal rim of the chair, but it looks like it was peeled off a long time ago and so there is no info . . . . .

It all looks to be in original condition, including the wheels on the bottom. 

We are trying to just shine up the metal a little bit by cleaning some of the dirt & cobwebs (and spider eggs!) off of it, but we are afraid to "mess with it" any further until we know some more info on it! 

The metal may be stainless steel, perhaps chrome(?) but it is not super shiny. It seems to be a really sturdy, nicely made chair.

Any help identifying this chair is GREATLY appreciated!
