It is about 10 in tall, about 8 in wide. It is dark brown/ maroon in color with a gold trim. Has a lid on top. Says made in philippines. Texture is leather like on outside and looks to be porcelain.

Items like this are modern Decorator pieces sold through companies such as Bombey and while some have high original retail values they sell for steep discounts in the Secondary/Used Furnishings market. Similar pieces are still in production, which also lowers the value of used examples to less than $50.00.
