Mid-century Vintage "Lounge Chair" Made in Norway

Description

I have owned this chair since it was given to me by my former employer over 5 years ago. She was cleaning up space and didn't have need for it. My mother mentioned to me yesterday that she thinks the chair is worth over $1,000, which was a bit of a surprise to me to say the least. My mom isn't a professional appraiser or anything but does know antiques, and I trusted her "hunch" and began to investigate.

The only indications as to make/origin of this chair is on the very bottom "legs" or sled-legs, where it is printed in black ink "Made in Norway." So this is where my research started. I found many similar looking chairs on various sites and google searches - many of what I found are by the two Relling Brothers who designed bentwood lounge-style seating in mid-century and these were distributed through Westnofa. Of the hundreds of different styles I came across, not one of them (Relling or otherwise) had the same type of sledding-legs connecting as one piece to arms. It also seems the leather strapping is secured in a slightly different manner.

Basically, any info would be greatly appreciated and I can most definitely get better pics on request, different angles, closeups of different spots etc.

Thanks a lot!
