Antique Maple Wood Vanity Dresser with Mirror

By proamrestores, 19 November, 2014
Description

This is an intricately carved vanity dresser made from possibly maple wood.  It has 7 drawers, and it also has a round mirror.  The sides of the dresser seem to resemble a cello with the way it is carved.  There is no specific names, but I want to know how valuable it is.  We think it might have a lot of value due to the quality of the wood and the carving of the maple wood.

Re: Antique Maple Wood Vanity Dresser with Mirror

Art Deco Vanities like this tend to date from the late 1920's through early 30's, most are European imports that have been shipped over by antique dealers since the 1980's. Values for dpend a great deal on the their condition, as they tend to have problems with loose, missing or bubbling veneer. What you paid is about what comparable ones now go for at auction.
