Description

I inherited this and was wondering the price in this condition, and if it was worth restoring. There is one handle missing and damage to the hutch shelf, seen in pictures.

These cabinet desk combo's date from the turn of the 19th century and were a hot item during the Victorian furniture craze of the 1980's to early 90's. Values for them today though have declined a great deal. Pieces like this one in need of repair and refinishing often sell at auction for less than $150.00, the cost of having it restored professionally would not be cheap. We sell similar pieces in very good or restored condtion for about $600.00 these days.
