Re: Maria Montessori Certificate from 1929
History:
Maria Montessori was an educator and an Italian physician. She was born in 1870 in Italy. When she was young, she excelled in math and medical studies becoming the first woman to ever graduate from medical school in Rome. Rather than pursue an advancred medical occupation, she chose to be an educator for special need children and study them. Her teaching gained supports and people who did not support her hard teachings. She influenced many and Montessori schools began opening worldwide. She tought and studied the children and opened her views and studies to the public. She devolped tactics to teach the special needed children better that are still used today.
Market and Value:
The market for Maria Montessori items are not very strong but to a collector of medical items or autographs. You don't see many items like this today, and this item has a nice story behind it. I'd appraise it at $175 to the right person.
If I was any help, I'd appreciate an accepted comment! Thanks!
