This gorgeous antique brass, jade and dark cherrywood jewelry box, has 5 embossed silk lined drawers. The lining has been made to hold jewelery, one drawer has a seperate ring holder. Each drawer has detailed brass hinged handles. There are 8 floral inserts of nephrite jade. This fine box is covered all around with Brass fittings of ribbons and styalized bats. The carrying handle at the top has a mounting of four fruit bats and a shou, which is the symbol of good luck in the centre. The carrying handle is a brass fruit bat. The quality of this fine box is truly magnificent. The handles on the front are shaped as two artemesia leaves, beautifully styled and delicately detailed. The condition of this fine box isexcellent.
