Peruvian battle axe

Appraisal complete
Description

I came across what was told to me to be an antique Peruvian battle axe. I bought it at a garage sale from an elderly gentleman for a few bucks. He is the one who told me. It seems to be made of iron and has been painted. The handle looks like it was glued to keep the blade attached. Just curious if it is a nice find and if it's worth anything, or even authentic. Thanks!
