Description

bought at a garage sale, no labels, marks or sigs. and no idea if they are worth anything.

i'll be selling them anyway (raising cash for my next plane ticket from UK to aus to visit my only daughter and her newborn baby) so i'd like to get the best price i can for them.

more than grateful for any answers/suggestions on a value.

 

two mouse bookends.

the mouse stands 21cm. the bookend 16cm.

i think they are ceramic (don't know how to test if they are china or porcelaine)

they are hollow.

the bottom of each is covered in felt.

the detail is quite delicate and precise, right down to the mouse's face having a 'furry' texture. the lace on the dress stands out.

they look hand painted and then glazed.

immaculate condition.
