The Royal Chart design guide was created by James McCall in 1867.  This version of the Royal Chart was offered as an incentive from Russell and Covert by the Southern Sewing Machine Emporium in New Orleans, LA with the purchase of any sewing machine.  Instructions for how to use the guide are provided on the back of the guide.
