Description

Hello and thank you for your time. I own a small gallery in Northern CA and I recently came across a very unique paper mache nativity set. Each piece measures about 11 inches tall. It dates prior to 1966. It is very abstract and dark yet detailed especially the faces. There is Mary and Joseph, the three Wise Men and two Angels. I have never seen anything quite like it. There are 8 pieces and it is painted gold on top and dark red underneath. . I only have one picture of it here. The three pieces on the right of the top shelf and the rest of the scene is on the bottom shelf of the picture. I was wondering if anyone has seen anything quite like it. It is currently listed on online under "mid century folk art paper mache nativity". I only mention this because there are 12 much better pictures. I hope I am not breaking any rules. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.
