Description

Hand Carved Ivory chess set. Purchased in Asia in 1974. Has been in the family since. Was purchased from an antique dealer claiming set was over 50 years old. Both Kings and Queens have jade square inlays with chinese characters carved into the jade. All pieces are in mint condition. Box, chess board is missing front latch.

Would like to get an estimate of the value as we have no idea of the worth. Please feel free to ask any questions or render suggestions in order to obtain estimated value.

Size and dimensions of this item Wood Chess Board Case 2' X 2'. Both sets of Ivory pieces: Kings = 6" tall, Queens = 5" tall, Knights = 3" tall and all other pieces are 2.5" tall.
