Theo A Kochs 1909 Barber Chair

Appraisal complete
Description

Hello all. I have the opportunity to pick up a 1909 Kochs chair foir about $1000. The chair is in, what appears to be, very good shape. The only obvious issue is a tear in the seat which I would be willing to have reupholstered. Seeing as how these chairs are not my speciality, i'm just wondering if this might be a good investment. I know there is not a lot of info here but any ballparks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

I'm not an appraiser, but I had a look and saw one from 2010 went for around $2,500 ...that was the highest price... I saw other ones similar that went for around $800 and up to the  $2,500...

Hope this helps :)

Absolutely worth it. I restore chairs at uppercutsbarbersbops.com you can sell it as is for $1500 to $1800 or restore it and get $2500 to $3500. The reasons the amounts vary is because location plays a big part in the price. Hope that helps.
