WIsh I could offer more input. But that definitely looks like it's a Silk & Wool rug. You can often tell silk when the colors appear different from different angles.
You could also test by doing a silk-burn test. Carefully remove a thread (or a broken or frayed kilin/tassel). Hold a lighter to it briefly. Let the strand catch flame. If the flame goes out quickly when the lighter flame is removed, and you are left with a black crispy charred remain of the tassel that crumbles in your hand, and burned with the smell similar to burning hair - it is real silk.
If it apepars to melt, or burns with a heavy smokey flame and turns to a powdered ash - it is artificial silk - or some other artificial material. FYI :-)
