Wallis Gimson & co of Lane Delph potteries, Alexandria pattern in brown transfer. All pieces have pattern & makers mark. The collection consists of 6 side plates, 4 dinner plates & 3 chargers, 1 of which has a crack there are also 2 tureens complete with lid & tray but no ladles. The tureens are different sizes & 1 of them has had a small edge broken off & re attached. There is also a 3rd tray. The service has been used and I have been told that the collection was made around the 1880's. Wallis Gimson ceramics are present in the v&a museum in London & also in the Boston museum in Massachusetts.
