Description
Serial number 432429.
59.25" in length across flat top of body.
25.25" in depth from back edge of top to front edge of top.
35.25" Tall (Approx. 43.25" Tall including music rack)
Leg, by itself, is 21.5" without wheel piece and 23.5" including the wheel piece.
Bench is 30"L x 14"W x 18"H. Top is fairly scuffed up, but no true scratches or deep scratches at all.
All is dark cherry/brown in color. May be 19 ply Rock Maple Laminations with Varnish top finish, but not definite.
There are some interesting pencil marks still on the wood inside, like where it was marked to cut at a specific angle, and there is a symbol under the cover for the keys that looks similar to a Christian Fish symbol, but looks like, from where it's layed, it would've had to have been marked prior to installing the cover, which I found interesting and have included a picture of with this submission.
This was purchased around the early to mid 40's for my Mom, from what I recall her telling me when I was young in the 70's and started taking lessons.

History
This piano has been in my family ever since it was bought by my grandparents in the 1940's in Texas for my Mom when she was between 6 & 10 (she was born in Nov. 1936 & passed away in March 1998). Ever since sometime after we moved up from Miami to Atlanta in Dec 1972, they used Ned Benton (blind gentleman) as the tuner for the piano every year.
As long as I have been old enough to remember, it has always been kept on an inside wall and in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment. Prior to moving to Atlanta, I cannot vouch for where it was kept or how well it was maintained.
Not knowing how older pianos are rated as to how they look, I would rate this as closer to "Excellent", but marked it as just "Good" so I wouldn't overrate it based on any sentimental value.
