Description

Beautiful silver on copper tray. We are trying to figure out who it was made by? Age? History? And value? We are guessing that it's a Sheffield circa 1838, but we really do t know. Any info would be appreciated.

Category Silver and Silver Overlay
Distinguishing marks It has a triangle with the words silver on copper in the triangle. Under that there is a worn away lion looking left, and "S" in the middle and then a crown. What is confusing me is that these seemed to be engraved vs stamped in like the marks I have found on the Internet. So we are guessing at maker and time frame.
Condition Good
Size and dimensions of this item I'm guessing since I have not measured it. 18" tray, with handles 24"
Date Period 1838
Weight Guessing again, 3 pounds
Price Paid (If known) $16
