The story which has been handed down from several generations is that this table and chairs were made in Germany in the 1850's then shipped to San Francisco and found a place in my family sometime after that. The table has 9 leaves and 12 chairs. 11 of the chairs are in good condition needing only a few minor repairs. The 12th chair needs repair of one broken leg. There is also a sideboard/buffet which is also very ornate and still has the original stained glass.
It is time to downsize and the next generation in our family is not interested. I have no idea of how to start to sell so would appreciate any input re: value and how/where to sell.
Thank you.
