Description

These andirons have been passed along in my family.  I am posting a little history of them written by my grandfather in the photos.  Said to have come here from England around 1690 with the Fayerweather family (Boston Fayerweathers) and descended through 5 generations of the Fayerweathers.  they were said to be the only Queen Anne andirions in this country. Flaming torch and shell decor, brass and have secret compartments inside the posts
