Description

We would love to hear from anyone that could tell us what time period they think this painting is from. There is several arguements among us whether it is Early America 19th Century or older. We are looking at the church and the steeple in the background plus whether or note the child is wearing a chain with a whistle (maritime outfit?) or spectacles.  Any insights would be appreciated.

The boy's clothing dates to the early 19th Century. Original oil paintings are really beyond the scope of online appraisals from images, they really require the services of an expert and a physical appraisal.
