Description

I am unsure where this piece is from, my mother got it at an anique stoor when she was 15 we have always wanted more information on it. based off appearance I guess it is of asian origin. the chisel marks in the eyes and along the back make be belive it was hand carved.

This appears to be a Chinese carving in rosewood. It may at some time have had glass eyes and ox bone carved teeth, or maybe it was carved without them. The flower on the forehead is dogwood which may help you identify the style and age.
