Description

Would love this forum's eys on this old carved oak refectory table. My husband hates it - but before I give it away to a charity shop, I would love to get a better sense of value.

So, any help on potential age (Victorian?), origin (English?), price would be highly appreciated.

Thank a lot in advance,

It's a Jacobean/Eliabethan Revival piece, most of them date before WW2 (1939) and are English in origin. A great many were imported by the container load from England during the 1980's to fill the then hot market for them. Values since then have tanked for tables like this, but what you paid is very cheap, most still go for over $200.00 at auction if in good shape.
