Victorian chain &pendant/locket?

Appraisal complete
Description

I haven't been able to find much on this so I don't have a lot of info. Hoping someone can help identify. I don't think the chain actually came with the pendant, but I think The U were probably made around the same time. I thought the pendant was a locket but have so far been unable to find a way to open it. Pendant seems to be a higher karat gold and genuine turquoise. Chain seems to be a lesser quality gold. It gets dirty easier but always goes back to gold color when I buff it. I have absolutley no info. I picked it up with a bag of costume jewlery at a multi-family yard sale. Any help would be much appreciated.
