Description

Antique Persian Tray - purchased by my father in the 1960's while on a trip to Iran. This tray is similar to another one I have listed on this site. This particular tray is 11 inches in diameter and is make of silver and copper. The tray depicts various animals. The edges have cutouts. I don't know how old it is, but appears similar to those listed here and on other sites as being from the 1800s or before.

Trays like this have been made for the Tourist/Export market for a great many years, dating back to the late 1800's, most of the export examples since World War Two with folding legs for use as coffee and end tables. We'd retail the larger ones in  $100.00- $150.00 range and the smaller ones at $50.00- $75.00
