I am interested to know if this is an original Duncan Phyfe sofa, or just a reproduction done in the style of DF. If you'll notice, there are cut outs on the top of the sofa. Also looking for an estimate of value. Thanks in advance!

It's a reproduction, These are often called "Empire Revival" style pieces, most of them date from the first quarter of the 20th century, the originals were made circa 1815-30. The style is not currently in demand, values depend a great deal on the condition and type of upholstery material., at auction they often sell for under $250.00 if the upholstery is in good shape.
