Based on the images this set is newer than the 1940's. It's in the French Provincial style and is similar to sets made during the 1950's through mid 1960's. The style is not currently in vogue and demand for sets like this are very modest. Currently at auction comparable sets often sell for under $800.00.

Thanks for the response! I based my guess on the age on the mfg name in one of the drawers. When I looked up Mount Airy Mantel and Table Co the info I got indicated they merged with another company in the 30s or 40s and the name changed.
