Description

I bought this second-hand so I don't have any history on it.  It clearly is a Roos Cedar Chest and I have learned about the history of the company.  I attempted to research the specific chest but couldn't find a similar one so I have been unsuccessful at dating it.  If anyone has some information, I would be grateful!  It is in pretty good condition (some veneer needs to be repaired) so I would like to price it as well.  Thanks so much!

Cedar chests like this were produced in huge numbers, Roos was one of the big name makers along with Lane Furniture, who made of 14 million of them alone. For this reason even the ones made in the early 20th century still have modest values. Ones like this are typical of those made during the second quarter of the 20th century,i have seen ones  in very good condtion sell  for less than $200.00, they often go at auction for less than $100.00. i cant se the damage ad only a repair man will know the cost.
