This is a very nice piece. Very rare indeed. Please handle with the utmost care and contact me for more information. The value could be quite much, or it could be only a few hundred dollars if it becomes chipped or damaged.  I am interested in purchasing this piece so it can be properly preserved. Any time you see a country of origin marking such as "made In France" you are generally dealing with an item made after World War One This is an example of :"whiteware", the blotchy marking on the back was applied to cover the name of the company that sold it as an undedorated blank, these blanks were often painted by smaller pottery studios for resale. No huge value though, generally under $75.00.
