Description Vintage 1960’s HACKMAN-FINLAND Mirror Polished Clip Point Balisong Butterfly Knife Made in Finland This model is the very first one made and said to be made in 1965 Designed by Tapio Wirkkala designed on the basis of butterfly knife. Made by Hackman and Co., Finland. Imported into the U.S. by Garcia as "Hackman Camp Knife" The knife was marketed by Hackman as "retkiveitsi", loosely translated as "camping knife". The old name for this knife was "Linkkupuukko" This knife design had been made in Sorsakoski, Finland for years. Pins are made from x5CrNi189 ssteel and closing maillot from 18/8 ssteel.
