Old item unearthed during WW2

Description My Father found this during WW2 he was anfinty Soldier and found this while digging a fox hole in Germany.. I was told it may be a Marrow spoon it has flecks of gold on the large spoon. There are no markings of any kind and appears to be hand Forged. The larger end is a little bigger than an inch. And it is 6 1/2 inch's long. I have been researching this item for 10 years and have yet to find anything like it. What could it be ? How old could be ? How much may it be worth ?
