Description
I have a couple of chairs I would like evaluations on please this is the first one, I know nothing about the age or style I just love the look of it. I have looked for any makes names, signs etc and cannot seam to find anything. There are no nails everything seams to be put together by wooden pins and slots ive even tried a magnet to see if the wooden pins were nails, but no they are wooden. So if there is anyone out that may be able to enlighten me on the age, style worth etc I would be very greatfull.

Re: Antique ornamental carved back chair
Chairs like these tend to date from the first quarter of the 20th century, they look older because they were designed to resemble Jacobean and Elizabethan furniture. Demand for chairs like this last peaked in the 1980's, demand and values since then have been in decline. at auction comparable chair often sell for under $50.00
