Description This is a child's vintage one piece schoolhouse desk and chair in good condition. Very sturdy and quite heavy. Desk top, chair bottom and back slates were crafted out of 1 inch thick wooden planks then attached to an all iron base. It has been in my family for over 50 years, and has helped 3 generations of grammar school aged kids finish their homework. In good condition, with normal wear and tear on wood. Just needs a little reconditioning and some TLC and could be good as new.

These tend to date from the second quarter of the 20th Century. They were made in huge numbers and remained in use until the 1950's. No huge value I'm afraid, most sell at auction for under $100.00
